Summary

This class, catering to women with little to no handgun experience, teaches our students the basic skills necessary to safely handle and operate a pistol or revolver.

 

Course Description

C.RO.S.S INTRO TO WOMEN’S HANDGUN involves six hours of interactive learning in a friendly, women-only setting. The pace of the class is comfortable, ensuring the critical element of safety at all times. Basic instruction begins in a classroom setting and ends with range time and live ammunition. Female firearm ownership is at an all time high. Exercise your civil right to self defense by learning how to safely manipulate, shoot and store a handgun in this rewarding and empowering six hour course!

 

Topics to be covered in coursework:

Four Universal Gun Safety Rules

Pistol versus revolver: differences and nomenclature

Weapon manipulation and function (loading, unloading, etc.)

Fundamentals of shooting (stance, grip, sight picture/alignment,
trigger control)

Range rules and etiquette

Live-fire portion of course

Practice drills for continued skill building at home

Use of different types of weapon for home defense

Interaction with assailants

Interaction with responding emergency personnel and
investigating officers

 

Eligibility Requirement

Valid government issued ID (e.g. Drivers License, Military ID or Passport)

 

CLASSROOM TRAINING PREPARATION:

Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class for check-in process

Feel free to bring drinks/snacks for classroom training

Limited number of loaner pistols available if needed . Please make arrangements ahead of time if you need a loaner.

 

Training Preparation:

Pistol or revolver in proper working order

50 rounds of factory new practice ammunition (no hand-loads)

ALL WEAPONS to be unloaded and stored in case prior to arrival

Ball cap and clothing as weather dictates (training commences rain or shine)

Water or sport drink and/or energy bar recommended

 

Adherence to Rules Required:

While in the classroom, the following rules MUST BE adhered to
at ALL TIMES:

NO LIVE FIREARMS

NO AMMUNITION

ALL WEAPONS UNLOADED & STORED IN CASE

 

Course Cancellation Policy:

NO REFUND/100 PERCENT CANCELLATION CHARGE if registrant cancels within 14 days of scheduled event; 50 PERCENT CANCELLATION CHARGE within 30 days of scheduled event. Due to myriad training logistics and staff instructor missions and obligations on and off site, there can be no exceptions to this policy.
