Summary

This advanced difficulty course is not for the beginner. It takes rifle skill-sets developed in INTERMEDIATE FIGHTING RIFLE out of high gear and into overdrive in a physically demanding two day course on advanced rifle tactics and live-five at our training facility.

 

Course Description

CROSS COMBATIVES ADVANCED FIGHTING RIFLE is a broad range tactical learning experience. This dynamic course will hone your long gun skills in tactical environments demanding multiple threat assessments, shooting while on the move, and fluid transition to sidearm in case of rifle stoppage. There exists a heavy focus on conditioned responses, and we drill down into the nuances between offensive and defensive shooting. Much of this instruction is applicable to team tactics and, as such, is useful for instructor development as it introduces concepts easily integrated into a broader tactical program. We don’t waste your time with an abundance of static, fully-sighted fire at stationary targets in simple environments. Instead, you’ll be subjected to challenging training that demands your practical use of movement and cover in obstacle laden environments - just like you’ll encounter in real life.

 

Topics to be covered in coursework:

Advanced level weapons manipulation skills

Concepts of movement, directed suppression fire and use of cover

Discussion of OODA Loop and WARS concepts

How to dominate a room while fighting from the doorway

Progressive transition options with and without a handgun

Ambush survival: Getting off the ‘X’

Engagement of multiple threats at varying distances

Two-man team tactics and battle drills

Shooting Continuum: from point shooting to sighted fire

Shooting and making movement on the cluttered battlefield

How to shoot from inside a motor vehicle

 

Course Logistics:

Approximately 8-hours of instruction completed in one day at our training facility. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of CROS COBATIVES INTERMEDIATE FIGHTING RIFLE or equivalent. Valid government issued ID (e.g. Drivers License, Military ID or Passport).

 

CLASSROOM TRAINING PREPARATION:

Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class for check-in process

Feel free to bring drinks/snacks for classroom training

 

Training Preparation:

Ear and eye protection

AR-15/M4 variant, or AK pattern rifle with sling

750 rounds factory new practice rifle ammunition (no hand-loads)

Three rifle magazines (minimum)

Method of carrying magazines

Serviceable handgun and holster

150 rounds factory new practice pistol ammunition (no hand-loads)

Two magazines w/carrier or pouches

Clothing and/or head wear as weather dictates

Knee pads, elbow pads and gloves optional

Sack lunch and water

 

Adherence to Rules Required:

While in the classroom, the following rules MUST BE adhered to
at ALL TIMES:

NO LIVE FIREARMS

NO AMMUNITION

ALL WEAPONS UNLOADED & STORED IN CASE

 

Course Cancellation Policy:

NO REFUND/100 PERCENT CANCELLATION CHARGE if registrant cancels within 14 days of scheduled event; 50 PERCENT CANCELLATION CHARGE within 30 days of scheduled event. Due to myriad training logistics and staff instructor missions and obligations on and off site, there can be no exceptions to this policy.
