Summary

This day-long course at our training facility builds on skills taught in INTRO TO PRECISION RIFLE and hones participants’ adeptness in long range, magnified optics rifle craft.

 

Course Description

Ready to get serious about long range shooting? Cozy in behind that scope and join us for C.R.O.S.S. COMBATIVES PRECISION RIFLE II, the next step in your evolution as a long range marksman! Our expert staff instructors will provide students with advanced techniques and methods of target engagement at extended ranges. Learn nuances of stress shooting scenarios absent abundant time to set up for the shot and how to put accurate fire downrange while confined to unorthodox shooting positions governed by your environment.

 

Topics to be covered in coursework:

Precision weapons manipulation

Principles of internal, external and terminal ballistics

Advanced telescopic sight theory and operation

Concept of Maximum Point Blank range

How to take a fast follow up shot

Precision shooting with the sling

Advanced range-finding

Live-fire portion (100-500 yard engagements)

 

Course Logistics:

Approximately 8-hours of instruction completed in one day at our training facility. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion INTRO TO PRECISION RIFLE or equivalent. Valid government issued ID (e.g. Drivers License, Military ID or Passport).

 

CLASSROOM TRAINING PREPARATION:

Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class for check-in process

Feel free to bring drinks/snacks for classroom training

 

Training Preparation:

Ear and eye protection

High quality bolt gun, .308 preferred (autos and other calibers permitted - call ahead)

Please have a bore-zeroed optic mounted to your rifle before your training day!

100 rounds factory new match ammunition (no hand-loads)

Cleaning kit for your rifle; owners manual for your optic

All-weather memo book and pen

Clothing and/or head wear as weather dictates

Shooting mat, knee and elbow pads optional

Spotting scope and tripod or binoculars a plus

Sack lunch and water

 

Adherence to Rules Required:

While in the classroom, the following rules MUST BE adhered to
at ALL TIMES:

NO LIVE FIREARMS

NO AMMUNITION

ALL WEAPONS UNLOADED & STORED IN CASE

 

Course Cancellation Policy:

NO REFUND/100 PERCENT CANCELLATION CHARGE if registrant cancels within 14 days of scheduled event; 50 PERCENT CANCELLATION CHARGE within 30 days of scheduled event. Due to myriad training logistics and staff instructor missions and obligations on and off site, there can be no exceptions to this policy.
